Renewable heating for Hertfordshire & Buckinghamshire homes. Qualified installers with manufacturer design and sign-off on every system.
Important note: We are qualified heat pump installers but are not currently MCS registered. This means customers cannot claim the government Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant through us. Every system is designed and signed off by the manufacturer, ensuring correct specification and full warranty validity. We'll always be upfront about this so you can make the right choice for your home.
Air source heat pumps are one of the most effective ways to reduce your home's carbon footprint and cut your reliance on fossil fuels. Element Home Services — through our Element Renewables division — now offers professional ASHP installation across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Our engineers are fully qualified to install heat pump systems, and every installation is designed and signed off by the manufacturer to ensure optimal performance and warranty validity.
An air source heat pump (ASHP) is a renewable heating system that extracts heat energy from the outside air — even at temperatures as low as -20°C — and uses it to heat your home and hot water. Because it moves heat rather than generating it by burning fuel, it can achieve efficiencies of 250–350%, making it one of the most cost-effective ways to heat a home when paired with the right electricity tariff.
We are qualified heat pump installers. While we are not currently MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) registered, every system we install is designed and signed off by the manufacturer. This means the system is correctly sized for your property, the hydraulics are properly specified, and the manufacturer's warranty remains fully valid. We work closely with leading heat pump brands to ensure every installation meets the highest technical standards.
ASHPs work best in well-insulated properties, but modern high-temperature heat pumps are increasingly compatible with older homes and standard radiator systems. During our free survey we assess your property's heat loss, existing heating distribution, hot water requirements, and available outdoor space to determine the best system and whether any upgrades (such as additional insulation or larger radiators) would improve performance.
Heat pump installations are a significant investment, typically ranging from £8,000–£15,000 depending on property size and system complexity. We offer flexible finance options to spread the cost. Running costs depend on your electricity tariff, but many customers on smart or off-peak tariffs see substantial savings compared to oil or LPG heating. We'll provide honest, realistic running cost estimates during your survey.
We visit your property, carry out a heat loss calculation, and assess your existing heating system, hot water setup, and available outdoor space.
Your survey data is submitted to the manufacturer, who designs and sizes the system — specifying the correct unit, cylinder, and hydraulic layout.
You receive a clear, itemised written quote based on the manufacturer's design. We explain all options, costs, and realistic running cost estimates.
Our qualified engineers install the system to the manufacturer's specification, ensuring correct commissioning and full warranty validity.
We walk you through the controls, register the warranty, and remain available for annual servicing and ongoing support.
