WHY CHOOSE ELEMENT FOR
POWER FLUSHING

Over time, central heating systems accumulate sludge, rust and limescale — a black, magnetite-rich deposit that reduces heat output, increases energy bills and can cause premature boiler failure. A professional power flush from Element Home Services removes this build-up completely, restoring your system to peak efficiency and protecting your boiler investment.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
ABOUT POWER FLUSHING

Do I Need a Power Flush?

The most common signs that your heating system needs a power flush are: radiators that are cold at the bottom but warm at the top, some radiators that don't heat up at all, a boiler that makes banging or kettling noises, slow heating throughout the house, a boiler that cuts out frequently, and dark or discoloured water when bleeding radiators. If you notice any of these symptoms, a power flush is likely to make a significant difference.

What Does a Power Flush Involve?

We connect our Kamco CF90 power flushing machine to your central heating system and circulate a powerful cleansing solution at high velocity through every radiator, pipe and the boiler itself. This dislodges and removes sludge, rust and limescale deposits. We then flush the system with clean water until it runs clear, add a corrosion inhibitor to protect the system going forward, and fit a magnetic filter to capture any future debris before it reaches the boiler.

Power Flushing Before a New Boiler

If your existing system is over 10 years old or shows signs of sludge build-up, a power flush is strongly recommended before installing a new boiler. Most boiler manufacturers require evidence of a clean system to honour the warranty. Installing a new boiler into a contaminated system can cause premature failure and void the manufacturer guarantee.
